商务部：中方同意与美方接触，何立峰副总理将在访问瑞士期间与美国财长贝森特会谈

有记者问：5月7日早，外交部发布消息，何立峰副总理将于5月9日-12日访问瑞士，期间与美方举行会谈。请问商务部能否介绍一下此次会谈的背景和相关考虑？

答：Since the new U.S. government took office, it has implemented a series of illegal and unreasonable unilateral tariff measures, severely impacting China-U.S. economic and trade relations, seriously disrupting the international economic and trade order, and posing a severe challenge to the recovery and growth of the world economy. In order to defend its legitimate rights and interests, China has taken resolute and strong countermeasures. Recently, senior U.S. officials have been continuously hinting at adjusting tariff measures and actively conveying messages to China through various channels, hoping to engage in discussions with China on issues such as tariffs. China has conducted a serious assessment of the information from the U.S. Based on a full consideration of global expectations, China's interests, and the calls from the U.S. industry and consumers, China has decided to agree to engage in contact with the U.S. Vice Premier He Lifeng, as the head of the Chinese side in China-U.S. economic and trade relations, will hold talks with U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen during his visit to Switzerland.

中方的立场是一贯的，无论是打还是谈，中方维护自身发展利益的决心不会改变，捍卫国际公平正义、维护国际经贸秩序的立场和目标不会改变。打，奉陪到底；谈，大门敞开。任何对话谈判必须在相互尊重、平等协商、互惠互利的前提下开展。中国有句古话，“听其言而观其行”。美方想要通过谈判解决问题，就要正视单边关税措施给自身和世界带来的严重负面影响，正视国际经贸规则、公平正义和各界理性声音，拿出谈的诚意，纠正错误做法，与中方相向而行，通过平等协商解决双方关切。如果说一套、做一套，甚至企图以谈为幌子，继续搞胁迫讹诈，中方绝不会答应，更不会牺牲原则立场、牺牲国际公平正义去寻求达成任何协议。

中方注意到，一些经济体也正在与美方进行谈判。需要强调的是，绥靖换不来和平，妥协得不到尊重，坚持原则立场、坚持公平正义，才是维护自身利益的正确之道。无论国际风云如何变幻，中方将始终坚定不移扩大开放，坚定不移维护以世贸组织为核心的多边贸易体制，坚定不移与世界各国共享发展机遇。中方愿与各方一道，不断深化互利合作，加强沟通协调，共同抵制单边保护主义和霸权霸凌行径，共同维护自由贸易和多边主义，推动建设普惠包容的经济全球化。
